The LesBasiles Manifesto: A Fashion That Makes Sense

At Les Basiles, we believe that fashion can be a vehicle for positive change. We are committed to creating clothing that is beautiful, responsible, and inclusive.

OUR VALUES:

•Diversity and Inclusion: We celebrate all identities and fight against all forms of discrimination. Our campaigns, collection presentations, and collaborations reflect the richness of the world we live in and want to continue to live in.

•Respect for the Planet: We minimize our environmental impact by using eco-friendly materials such as organic cotton, favoring short supply chains, and reducing our waste.

•Ethics and Transparency: We guarantee fair and equitable working conditions for everyone involved in the creation of our clothing, from designers to artisans.

•Multiculturalism: We draw inspiration from the richness of cultures around the world. We collaborate with artisans from different countries to preserve and promote their expertise and their right to a decent living from their work.

MORE THAN A FASHION HOUSE, A COMMITMENT:

At Les Basiles, we believe that creation, art, and beauty must, by their very nature, uphold a positive and emancipatory vision of the world. This is why we are committed to always defending the values we believe in.

OUR OBJECTIVES FOR THE YEAR 2025

I. CREATE SPACES FOR SAFE EXPRESSION

We aim to create safe digital spaces to counter the proliferation of fascist content on our social media and online store, promote progressive ideas, and organize actions in support of LGBTQA+, feminist, and democratic causes.

These inclusive platforms will raise awareness, mobilize, and support events to defend equality and human rights, while providing a respectful environment, protected from discrimination and hate speech.

By connecting engaged communities, we can create the foundations for building resistance to obscurantist ideas.

I created La Maison Les Basiles because I believed, and even more so today, that beauty and art can be a formidable weapon in the fight against the obscurantism that unfortunately proliferates in our world. I am therefore determined to continue to reinvest as many resources as possible in this decisive fight for our rights and freedoms.

At Les Basiles, we believe that fashion can be a vehicle for positive change. We are committed to creating clothing that is beautiful, responsible, and inclusive.
